Come on, folks. You have been around long enough to know the marketing game and how it works. No matter who you speak with, everyone claims that they are the best whether they are claiming they are the best at selling you a car, the best at helping you find Green Mountain electric rates Anson or even the best at providing you with an internet experience that is just like no other. That is part of the game, but when it comes to finding an internet service provider, you need to find a way to cleave through all the BS in order to find the one that’s right for you.
Finding the ideal internet service provider, or ISP, can be really difficult. There are just so many out there and it seems that many of them like to hide the real facts behind impenetrable acronyms, facts and figures that any layperson or those of us not versed in the subtle art of “throwing out numbers” simply can’t understand. For some, there really is no decision, you either take what’s in front of you or you don’t get internet service but for others with a few more options, there are a couple of things to consider.
For starters, you should try and get a feel for the history of the service provider you are looking to do business with. Don’t be afraid to pull them up on the Better Business Bureau website to get a feel for how they conduct themselves and treat their customers. And, most of all, get a second opinion. If you know someone who has done business with them or can find some reviews than consult those. You want to make sure you are getting your money’s worth.
